What is MediaInfo Mac?
MediaInfo Mac is a little but effective tool for the Mac, designed to analyze and report multimedia files of any kind.
MediaInfo Mac can tell you the video and audio codecs used, the settings used for the original encoding, the type and kind of container (AVI, MP4, MKV, etc) and a lot more information that is too long to write in this little intro.
MediaInfo Mac is based in the amazing MediaInfo library by Jerome Martinez, and it is free, not only free in terms of money, but it is also free of any type of spyware, backdoor or any kind of malicious software.

How to use it ?
Usage is really simple: Just drag any file over the MediaInfo icon (or for that matter, click the "Open file" button on the application and select any file) and done!
You can save the results into a text file or print to plain old paper.

- AVC in MKV: all SEI userdata infos from x264/eavc in Writing library settings.

- MPEG-TS: DVB subtitles/Teletext management.
- MPEG-4 Visual (DivX/XviD): writing library name was missing.
- MPEG-Video: some DTS files with wrong extension were detected as MPEG-Video.
- SWF: Compressed SWF files support is back.
